If it wasn’t for Logical Letters, I would not be where I am today. From a young age, Marcy created an atmosphere that was comfortable and understanding, and that focused on my strengths to teach me something I couldn’t do anywhere else. Logical Letters eliminates the difficult rote memory aspects of learning how to read and write, which in my opinion it is rote memory that most dyslexic people have a problem with. It is also a rote memory system that is used in every school.

Logical Letters on the other hand creates a system that deals with logic and storytelling to make an otherwise mundane alphabet come to life in a way that a dyslexic mind can understand. I still remember in grade 1 and 2 screaming at the top of my lungs that I would never learn how to read and write. And if it was not for Logical Letters, I probably never would have. Even though I never thought it would be true, I am now graduating CEGEP under my own sails. I went from not being able to read my own name, to in a matter of a few years being well beyond the average capability. For example I couldn’t really read in grade 4 and yet by grade 6, I was post high school level and it is all thanks to Marcy Scott. Now my greatest asset in school is my ability to read.

  • Science has moved forward at a rapid pace so that we now possess the data to reliably define dyslexia … For the student, the knowledge that he is dyslexic is empowering … [It provides him] with self-understanding and self-awareness of what he has and what he needs to do in order to succeed.
